Every Spring and Autumn there is are second hand sales in nearly every town. The sale in Horgen and Thalwil also has toys, shoes, books and baby equipment, pushchairs etc. Other sales may also be similar, look out for posters.

In Horgen these sales work as follows, and I believe in other towns as well, please correct me if some sales aren’t the same.
Sign up for a number Write the clothing size, price you want and your number to tags, masking tape or other to each item you want to sell (Please check with your local sale what information is required on each item) Drop off your clothes or other goods as instructed by the venue They will then sort out the clothes into size order with everyone elses before sale day After the sale as finished you get back the clothes etc not sold with your money, less a bit of commission.
You can also sign up as a volunteer at these sales and you get first look at the sale items as a perk.
